To reduce the waste of useful materials  is to induce the reduction of raw materials. I an eco friendly office that utilizes reusable sterilization pouches and cloth barriers, bibs and headrests are used instead of paper or plastic. Studies have shown that the use of cloth vs plastic and paper diverts nearly 5,000 pieces of paper and 5,000 pieces of plastic from the average dental office. The use of fabric bibs instead of two ply paper or one ply of plastic diverts nearly 10,000 pieces of paper and around 5,000 pieces of plastic from the landfill annually.
